The Certified Residential Housing CounselorSMprovides professional development and training for those providing education and counseling services related to homeownership. This comprehensive program was designed to conform to the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Housing Counseling Program Final Rules regarding education and counseling as well as to align with the Standards developed by the Advisory Council for the National Homeownership Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling. Certification ensures that individuals have been trained and tested in education and counseling techniques, as well as financial concepts pertaining to the homeownership process.
